- They are more likely to drop out of school…32-40% do so.
- They rarely complete college…Only 5-10% do so.
- 50-70% report few or no friends.
- 70-80% underperform at work
- 40-50% engage in antisocial behavior (stealing, vandalism, etc.)
- They use tobacco or illicit drugs at higher rates
- 4 out of 10 experience teen pregnancy
- 16% experience a sexually transmitted disease
- 20-30% are involved in driving at excessively high speeds and have multiple car accidents
- 20-30% experience clinical depression
Isn’t that interesting! …told you I was going to say that! If nothing else, I think it’s safe to say that the lives of people battling attention disorders have the potential for considerable personal drama and chaos, not to mention unique challenges tackling tasks that most people find routine!
